TC 7000 Epoxy is a surface tolerant two component 100% solids material that replaces VOC base primers. It is manufactured to be used as a one coat wet or dry primer with Tapecoat hot and cold applied tapes. TC 7000 can also be applied as a two coat stand- alone coating for use on metal surfaces. This coating offers exceptional ‘flowability’ with self-leveling attributes. This product can be used above or below ground.

Applications: Surface must be clean and dry. Power tool cleaning SSPC SP3 or commercial blast to SSPC SP6. Remove oil and grease with suitable solvent. Salt and other contaminants may be removed by high pressure fresh water cleaning. Pour entire contents of Part A Resin (larger can) and Part B Curing Agent (small can) into a separate mixing pail and mix thoroughly, approx. 3-5 minutes. Do not alter the amounts of A and B in the mixture. Apply epoxy by brush, pad, roller or spray. The surface temperature should be elevated by torch or heater to 100° F (38° C). When used as a single coat primer, Tapecoat cold applied tapes can be applied over dry or wet primer. Primer should be dry to touch before applying Tapecoat hot applied tapes or sleeves. As a stand-alone coating, TC 7000 Epoxy provides superior corrosion protection above ground.
