The Latest in Current Interrupter Technology. Tinker & Rasor re-introduces the Model Quasar 100 Amp GPS Controlled Current Interrupter. The Model Quasar is the product of more than ten years of research and development of GPS controlled current interrupters and two years of testing in the field. The instrument represents the latest in electronics in the industry, with a new design and numerous improvements.
The Panel layout is easy to operate and give the user quick information. Battery charging status is shown when connected to AC or DC charger. Circuit closed LED indicates operational mode. Large display is easy to read, even-in direct sunlight. The Quasar has an updated GPS system which includes a removable magnetic-mount GPS antenna. The antenna has a magnetic location on the panel, and a 15' lead to relocate the antenna to a more suitable location for satellite reception. The outside panel of the Quasar has three sets of connection points.
Small banana jacks for systems of less than 5A. Large connection for systems over 5A. AC power connection-Auto senses either 110v or 240v AC. No switch necessary.
The Keypad has larger buttons with good separation making it easy to use, even while wearing gloves. The standard telephone keypad is enhanced with a decimal button, an UP Arrow to go up a level in the program tree, a Left and Right Arrow to move through screen programming, the OK and DEL button for accepting and canceling programming options.
The Display is a 4 line, 20 character LCD, twice as large as before. This allows for all program screens to appear on one screen, without scrolling.
The upper Right corner of the display shows the GPS status, with "0" as no connection to satellite, "1" as enough satellite reception to operate, and "2" as optimal satellite reception. Other new features include the inside case storage area. This area will hold all the cables that come included with the instrument and any other items you want to store here. Very convenient, as it can be secured by locking the case with the lid closed. The case can also be locked so that the lid can be opened.
Features:
· 100 Amps (12,000 watts)
· 0.005s to 999.999s cycle range
· GPS timing
· Get in Sync feature
· Program Transfer
· In Case Storage
